HISTORY

Ken Taylor, the owner of CAD by Ken, Inc, has worked in the construction industry since 1990. Even though his first 11 years were spent on the design side working for a mechanical engineer, his clients do no hold that against him. While working at the engineering office in mid 1990s, he was given the chance to fill the needs of local contractors doing their shop drawing submittals. In 2002, his employer retired and Ken went full time. Within three months, Ken was working on one of his largest projects, an 8 story bed tower addition with full kitchen which took about a year to complete the drawings.

Since then, it has been an adventure. Hospitals, schools, museums, or whatever new or renovation project that was awarded, it was done with a detail towards accuracy and quality As a result of these experiences, we have established a good working relationship with not only our contractors, but general contractors and mechanical engineers. The same engineers now refer CAD by Ken, Inc to other mechanical contractors.

We are located in Deltona, Florida which is about midway between the Orlando and Daytona Beach areas. Ironically, most of our projects are in the Tampa/St Petersburg, Lakeland, and south Florida areas. Of course, with the internet, there is no limit on where the job can be located at.
